Catalan Police continued operations in search of the man responsible for Saturday afternoon’s shooting in the district of Sant Marti in Barcelona.

Suspecting the shooter was hiding in a flat along Pasaje Foret and the streets Maresme, police officers cordoned off the area.

The security team entered the building and found that no one was there. After that, when the Sant Marti operation had been dismantled, police confirmed that they were keeping the operation open to search for the escaped offender.

Those injured were treated urgently at the scene by the Medical Emergency System (SEM) and were subsequently taken to hospital.
