State of Palestine: Israeli forces catch last two Palestinian prison fugitives

Israeli forces (IDF) captured the final two fugitives that had escaped from Gilboa Prison almost two weeks ago, early on Sunday morning in Jenin.

The militants turned themselves after IDF personnel surrounded their position according to Israeli authorities.

These men are the final two to be captured of the six prisoners who escaped Gilboa prison through a tunnel September 6. The other four appeared in court this weekend and have had their detentions extended.

Five of the six inmates are believed to be a part of the Islamic Jihad movement, with the other said to belong to an armed group associated with the Fatah party.
