NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg once again reiterated the invitation to Moscow for a NATO-Russia Council meeting during a joint press briefing with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky amid building military tensions on the borders of the Eastern European country, in Brussels on Thursday.

“We reiterate our invitation to Moscow for a meeting of the NATO-Russia council, because the dialogue is even more important when tensions are high,” said the NATO chief after he acknowledged Moscow’s military presence on the Ukraine border had shown no signs of reducing or slowing down.

Discussions between Stoltenberg and Zelensky reportedly also included the Ukrainian partnership with NATO with the aim of membership in NATO.
