Donald Trump has been indefinitely suspended from three major social media platforms after he was deemed to have ‘glorified’ and ‘incited’ violence ahead of the storming of the US Capitol.

The outgoing president will no longer have access to Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, until after the inauguration of Joe Biden at the earliest, due to the potential threat to a peaceful and lawful transition of power.

Trump had amassed millions of followers on Twitter and used the platform to circumvent the traditional media and get his word out.
