Massive fires caused heavy smoke to rise near tourists hotspots in Turkish cities Marmaris, Side and Manavgat, as seen on Thursday.

Footage taken near resorts on the Turkish coastline shows plumes of smoke covering the sky over local beaches and highways.

According to the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), at least three people have died, 122 injured in forest fires that have broken out across the Turkish coast. The mayor of Antalya, Muhittin Bocek, said firefighters are investigating if the fires started as a result of arson.

Hot weather and strong winds have been fanning the fires, leading to the evacuation of dozens of villages.
