Londoners queued on Monday for several hours for booster shots, after Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged people to accelerate vaccination efforts.
The NHS booking site for vaccinations apparently kept crashing, as the queues for St Thomas’ walk-in centre snaked around from the hospital all along the bridge to Westminster.
According to the NHS, 140,000 jab appointments were booked on Monday,
750 armed personnel are set to help with administering the vaccinations, the Ministry of Defence has said.
According to the government, the booster vaccination will be offered to everyone of age up to the end of the year.
