USA: Fans gather at Astroworld festival site to pay respects to crowd surge victims

People gathered at a makeshift memorial outside of the Astroworld Festival venue in Houston, Sunday, to pay respects to the victims of Friday’s deadly concert mishap.
Eight people died and more than 20 were hospitalised after a crowd surge at NRG Park during the festival.
Around 50,000 people were in the crowd at the festival organised by American rapper Travis Scott. The festival was cancelled and didn’t continue as planned on Saturday, but fans still showed up at NRG Park to lay flowers and write messages following the incident.
