The fire crew battling to extinguish the northern California fire of Tamarack Fire have released footage of them driving through hellish scenes of fire on July 21.

The fire department has been fighting the fire, just south of Lake Tahoe, for nearly a week.

The Tamarack Fire, which began earlier this month, has burned an estimated 50,000 acres (20,000 hectares).
