Protesters rallied in front of the White House in Washington DC, Saturday, demanding that the government bail out rental debts accumulated due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“This is an emergency caused by the COVID-19 pandemic the government bailed out the banks, they bailed out the biggest corporations, but right now, in the middle of the COVID-19, with the Delta variant raging, millions of families are going to be put out into the streets,” said one of the protesters.
People were also seen holding banners demanding an eviction freeze.
