Hundreds of protesters rallied in Washington DC on Saturday, calling for expanded voting rights.

The demonstration follows the introduction of bills claimed to restrict voting access in several Republican-led states.

The rally also marked the anniversaries of the historic March on Washington when Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous ‘I Have a Dream’ speech and of President Lyndon B. Johnson signing the Voting Rights Act into law two years later.
