Uzbekistan: German military flies out 220 people from Kabul to Tashkent

A German A400M military aircraft arrived at the airport of the Uzbek capital Tashkent on Wednesday carrying 220 people evacuated from Kabul.
More than 670 people have been brought to safety from Afghanistan so far, the German Ministry of Defence said. Almost all of the passengers were Afghan nationals, including more than 80 women, according to the German Foreign Ministry.
From Tashkent, the evacuees are set to be transported to Germany in Lufthansa planes.
