'We’re not going to dance' - Lavrov chases away photographers before OSCE meeting in Stockholm

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov made a joke while chasing away photographers who’d been taking pictures of him and UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs Elizabeth Truss before the 28th OSCE Ministerial Council meeting on Thursday in Stockholm.

“We are not going to dance! Go away,” Lavrov told journalists.

The parties were going to start negotiations then but then suddenly the lights turned off in the room. It didn’t last for a long time, so Lavrov and Truss managed to start meeting behind closed doors.

Earlier, a blackout on the margins of the OSCE ministerial meeting also occurred during talks between US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

This is the second time Sergey Lavrov has met UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs Elizabeth Truss, their previous meeting took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York.
