Thousands of Taiz residents gathered in the city’s streets following a call by local authorities to commemorate the eleventh anniversary of the 2011 February Revolution on Saturday.

Drone footage showed thousands of residents carrying banners and flags of Yemen marching and cheering, while soldiers guarded the rally.

Participants in the march chanted revolutionary slogans and stressed the continuation of the struggle until the revolution’s goals were achieved and the Houthi coup was overthrown.

SOT, Resident (Arabic): “We went out today to join the Yemeni people to celebrate the 11th anniversary of the February Revolution. This great and glorious revolution made by the Yemeni people of all affiliations and colors has preserved our national cause and our awareness of the importance of preserving the state project that begins with overthrowing the coup, defeating the Houthi coup militia and restoring the hijacked state project.”
