Palmeiras’ fans gathered outside the football club’s HQ in Sao Paulo on Wednesday to give their heroes a warm send-off ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The squad is on its way to Abu Dhabi to compete with the winners of each of the world’s confederation’s premier competitions. Palmeiras clinched a spot in the tournament’s quarter-final as South America’s current champions.
The Brazilian team faces on Tuesday the winner of the clash between Mexico’s Monterrey and Egypt’s Al Ahly.
