China: At least 4 killed in gas explosion at restaurant in Shenyang

An explosion at a restaurant in Shenyang on Thursday killed at least four people and injured nearly 50 others according to authorities.

Emergency crews were seen responding to the explosion which had ripped through a barbeque restaurant in the northeastern Chinese city.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the blast.

SOT, local resident, (Mandarin): “At about 08:20, I heard a loud bang, which was very frightening.”
