France: Passengers disembark Kiev flight as nationals told to leave Ukraine

Passengers travelling from Kiev disembarked in Paris, on Sunday, after France issued a warning for nationals to leave Ukraine amid spiking tensions with Russia.

France’s foreign ministry urged nationals to leave the country if possible and avoid trips to Ukraine in the near future. It also advised to avoid nearing the border of the north and east and for those in the separatist areas of Kharkiv, Luhansk and Donetsk to “leave these areas without delay.”

The Elysee announced that French president Macron would meet German Chancellor Olaf Scholz as well as American President Joe Biden in the coming hours to discuss the heightening crisis.
