France: Thousands demand more hospital resources, better staff working conditions in Paris

Thousands marched in Paris on Tuesday to demand more hospital resources, as well as better working conditions and higher wages for hospital staff.

Participants were see holding General Confederation of Labour (CGT) flags and balloons, with signs reading ‘SOS public hospital.’

The protest came as French hospitals continue to struggle following waves of COVID-19 hospitalisations, with WHO reporting 292,012 new virus cases in the country on Monday.
According to the CGT, 3,000 attended the demonstration.
