Germany: Berlin rally commemorates NSU victims on 10th anniv of group's unmasking

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the unmasking of the National Socialist Underground (NSU) neo-Nazi terrorist group, about two thousand protesters marched through Berlin on Thursday.
Protesters, mostly dressed in black, marched through the streets braving the rain, carrying flags and banners condemning right-wing violence. Police was seen present at the event.
The neo-Nazi group murdered at least 10 people, including migrants of Turkish, Greek, and Kurdish descent, and was responsible for two bombings and robberies.
As the police initially investigated in the wrong direction, the case dragged on. The two members of the group committed suicide on November 4, 2011, after robbing a bank. As an accomplice in the series of racially-motivated murders, another NSU member Beate Zschape was sentenced to life in prison in 2018.
