Greece: Hundreds rally outside parliament in support of Afghans

Hundreds gathered outside the Greek parliament in Athens’ Syntagma Square on the occasion of Afghanistan’s Independence Day on Thursday.
They demonstrated in solidarity with the Afghan civilians remaining in their country after the Taliban takeover.
Protesters held various banners and signs bearing messages such as “Stand up, be strong, we are with you, let’s stand together to save our country,” or “Stop killing Afghans.”
People waved Afghan flags as they chanted slogans under the watch of several police officers.
