Flames were seen being put out from aircraft in Pineta Dannunziana, Pescara, Sunday.

Heavy smoke was spotted blanketing the area, including buildings, with people evacuated from the zone affected by wildfires.

The flames have reportedly been taken under control with extinguishing efforts still underway.
