Live from the island of Evia in Greece on Sunday, August 8, as firefighters continue battling massive wildfires, which have been raging for days.

The fires come amid the worst heatwave to strike the country in the last three decades. Hundreds of residents of the island of Evia, located to the east of Athens, were evacuated on a ferry on Friday.

Over the last week fires caused dozens of villages and settlements to be evacuated and covered Athens in smoke. Hundreds of houses have also been burnt.
