Representatives of the Tokyo 2020 Organising Committee hold a closing press conference in the Japanese capital on Sunday, August 8.

The Tokyo Olympics took place a year later than planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic under unprecedented safety measures and restrictions. Head of the Organising Committee Seiko Hashimoto, Director General Muto Toshiro and spokesperson Masa Takaya are expected to brief media during the press conference.

The Games officially kicked off on July 24 and will finish with a closing ceremony on August 8.
