Slovenia: Michel says EU needs to reflect on collective security in the wake of Afghan crisis
У вашего броузера проблема в совместимости с HTML5President of the European Council Charles Michel called on the European Union to rethink its current roles in security and defence speaking at the Bled Strategic Forum on Wednesday.
He said Europe needed to evaluate its position in global politics.
“We do not need another such geopolitical event to grasp that the EU must strive for greater decision making autonomy and greater capacity for action in the world,” he said.
He continued: “We must reflect openly and clear-eyed on a new stage in collective security and defence capabilities, especially in the wake of the Afghan crisis.”
