Hundreds of anti-military protesters were met with tear gas launched by police forces trying to disperse them in Khartoum on Saturday, following rumours of a possible resignation of the Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.

Protesters could be seen marching and chanting with Sudanese flags on their way to the presidential palace.

Last month, Hamdok was reinstated as Prime Minister with a deal following October’s military coup.
Protests continue to erupt in the country as many citizens accuse Hamdok of legitimising the military coup through cooperation.
