USA: Aerial footage reveals aftermath of Hurricane Ida in New Orleans

Footage filmed from a US airforce plane showed the aftermath of Hurricane Ida in New Orleans on Monday.

Large amounts of water cover whole parts of the filmed neighborhoods, with streets and residential areas under water.

Reportedly, more than a million people in the South of the United States are currently without electricity. The state of Louisiana is especially affected as the Hurricane made landfall in the region, including the entire New Orleans metropolitan area being without power.
