The New York City Marathon resumed on Sunday after being canceled by the COVID pandemic in 2020.
More than 33,000 people took part in the 50th edition of the running as the city steadily goes back to normal.Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir of Kenya won the women’s race, and her compatriot Albert Korir finished first in the men’s event.
