USA: Protesters march in DC against US policies towards Ethiopia and Eritrea

Protesters, mostly from the Ethiopian diaspora, were seen marching in Washington DC, Friday, denouncing the US government’s policies towards Ethiopia and Eritrea.

People held banners reading ‘#nomore,’ waved traditional Ethiopian tricolor, and held speeches in front of the Capitol.

Protesters condemned the Biden administration for ‘denying the democracy’ for Ethiopians, as well as the mainstream’s narrative concerning the Tigray war.

The Tigray war began in November 2020 in the Tigray region of Ethiopia, between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) over regional control.
