Forces aligned with the Saudi and UAE-backed Yemen government were on the move in the Marib province on Saturday as clashes with the Iran-backed Houthi forces have intensified in the past weeks.

Footage shows pro-Yemeni government fighters on the al-Jawba frontline south of Marib.

Fighting has intensified in Marib after Saudi and UAE-aligned forces captured the neighbouring Shabwah province last week.

The anti-Houthi coalition has been intervening in Yemen since 2015 to support government forces against the Houthis after they captured the capital Sana’a in 2014, subsequently unleashing a war that sparked one of the world’s worst humanitarian crisis
